Happy Birthday

So yesterday my youngest turned 3! It blows my mind at how fast time is going by. This little girl can brighten my day when I'm having a bad one. She is the sweetest but also the meanest. Happy Birthday baby girl!

Growth...

Back in 2012 I picked up a camera and set out to become a photographer. I had no idea where to begin or what I was even doing. So I began to read all the books, watched all the you tube videos and even discovered some Webinars. My very first photography job was a wedding. I was nervous, but after all the studying and preparing that I did I think it turned out very well despite it being my first job. I look back now and I think of all the things that I could have done differently. In the beginning I would always reflect and try to figure out what I could do differently in the future. I was constantly comparing myself to other photographers and their work. Wondering why I didn't have as much clientele or why my post processing pictures didn't look like theirs. It kind of put me in a place where I didn't think I was successful and I began to shy away from photography. But I didn't give up. The competitive nature in me wouldn't allow it.  Nowadays I only compete with myself. I see growth. I see improvement. I see someone who is constantly learning and striving to be better. I'm extremely blessed to have a wonderful husband who supports and encourages me to continue to follow my dreams and strive for greatness. This is just the beginning of my revamping process. Wedding photography is what I started with. You can say its my niche. I'm super excited about all the new things that I have learned and can't wait to implement them in my future shoots!

I love this Family

Finally after months of saying we were going to set up Family Pictures. We finally got the chance. I go way back to High School with this family. Even though it was not that long ago. I mean I'm only 22! LOL...Wishful thinking. I'm only as old as i feel.

Another sweet wedding for you

I met Tara probably around 2005 or 2006 while working at Cracker Barrel. This was way before I started my photography business. I'm glad she thought of me years later when it came time for her engagement an wedding photos :) Congratulations Tara and Justin.
