What is a Senior Rep?

rep-re-sent-a-tive  (rep-ri-zen-tuh-tiv) noun
1. a person or thing that represents another or others.

A Senior Rep is basically a spokes-model that helps promotes Tamika Whiteside Photography, and more importantly my Senior Portrait Program. My clients are going to be talking about how great of an experience they had with me anyways....so why not earn some AMAZING freebies and even cash rewards while you're at it? A great Senior Rep for me is someone who is really fun, outgoing, hard working, personable and whose energetic personality is contagious. I look for reps who can help me create an exciting buzz around Tamika Whiteside Photography and my Senior Portrait Program! This is a two-way street so some work is involved but it's definitely do-able and fun.

How do I know if I am eligible for the or the Senior Rep Program?

Eligibility info:

• Must apply and interview. Contact me for info and deadlines.
• Must be in high school graduating class of 2016 and 2017
• Must live and attend school within Guilford County, NC
• Must be willing to help spread the word about our Senior Portrait Program and hand out Senior Rep Cards. This is not solely a "freebie" program. You will need to do a little bit of work to get your referrals, but once you do, it's freebies galore AND cash rewards!!
• Must use these images for your Senior Portraits and represent only Tamika Whiteside Photography

I'm back.....

So its been a while since I've posted or even did photography. I've been busy with moving and getting settled. Well I'm settled now and I'm starting my photography journey over in new city. So exciting.... so here was my first photoshoot in my new town. Meet Symone a 6 month old cutie pie.

From now until May 7 I am offering all sessions with the exception of weddings at a discounted rate of $75! This will include your photos on a cd along with print release. Prints will be offered at an additional cost. This is just in time for Mothers Day and Graduation. Pictures make great Mother's Day gifts!

Happy Birthday

So yesterday my youngest turned 3! It blows my mind at how fast time is going by. This little girl can brighten my day when I'm having a bad one. She is the sweetest but also the meanest. Happy Birthday baby girl!

Growth...

Back in 2012 I picked up a camera and set out to become a photographer. I had no idea where to begin or what I was even doing. So I began to read all the books, watched all the you tube videos and even discovered some Webinars. My very first photography job was a wedding. I was nervous, but after all the studying and preparing that I did I think it turned out very well despite it being my first job. I look back now and I think of all the things that I could have done differently. In the beginning I would always reflect and try to figure out what I could do differently in the future. I was constantly comparing myself to other photographers and their work. Wondering why I didn't have as much clientele or why my post processing pictures didn't look like theirs. It kind of put me in a place where I didn't think I was successful and I began to shy away from photography. But I didn't give up. The competitive nature in me wouldn't allow it.  Nowadays I only compete with myself. I see growth. I see improvement. I see someone who is constantly learning and striving to be better. I'm extremely blessed to have a wonderful husband who supports and encourages me to continue to follow my dreams and strive for greatness. This is just the beginning of my revamping process. Wedding photography is what I started with. You can say its my niche. I'm super excited about all the new things that I have learned and can't wait to implement them in my future shoots!

Finally after months of saying we were going to set up Family Pictures. We finally got the chance. I go way back to High School with this family. Even though it was not that long ago. I mean I'm only 22! LOL...Wishful thinking. I'm only as old as i feel.

I met Tara probably around 2005 or 2006 while working at Cracker Barrel. This was way before I started my photography business. I'm glad she thought of me years later when it came time for her engagement an wedding photos :) Congratulations Tara and Justin.
